ANCROM is designed with privacy as the foundational principle. We cannot access your messages, and we do not collect your data. This is not a policy - it is a technical fact.
We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the following:
ANCROM uses end-to-end encryption with Perfect Forward Secrecy. All encryption and decryption happens exclusively on your device. Our servers function solely as temporary relay infrastructure - they never store, log, or have access to message content.
All data is stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted local database. Contacts, messages, and encryption keys never leave your device unencrypted. If you delete the app, all data is permanently and irrecoverably lost.
Our servers operate exclusively as encrypted relays. No message content is stored. No metadata is logged. Encrypted messages are held for seconds for delivery, then permanently deleted. There is no persistent data on our infrastructure.
Due to our zero-knowledge architecture, we cannot provide access to your messages even if legally compelled to do so. The data simply does not exist on our servers. In response to any data request, we can only confirm that we store nothing and have nothing to provide.
Subscription payments are processed entirely by the respective platform store - Apple App Store or Google Play - depending on which platform you use. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information. The applicable store's privacy policy governs all payment data.
When you share images through ANCROM, all EXIF data including GPS coordinates, camera model, and timestamps is automatically stripped before transmission. No metadata is retained on our servers.
We use no analytics, tracking, or advertising services. The only third-party touchpoints are the platform stores used for distribution and payments (Apple App Store, Google Play), and our server hosting provider which receives only encrypted relay traffic.
Since we collect no data, there is no personal data to access, delete, or correct. You maintain complete and sole control over your data by controlling your device.
ANCROM is GDPR compliant by design through data minimization. Since we collect no personal data, most GDPR provisions do not apply. Where applicable, we ensure data minimization, purpose limitation, storage limitation, and end-to-end confidentiality.
